Jesús Chapa-Malacara - Creative Director and Photographer
A 7-year Brooklyn resident (and recent transplant to Park Slope) Jesús has worked as a photographer, designer and contemporary ballet dancer internationally, and comes from a background in studio and performance art, architecture, academic belly button twirling and snowboarding. In addition to red light green light, Jesús is working on a photographic novel, a satirical pop art website and a series of fine art portraits. Sometimes he spends so much time working on photographs, he then walks around color correcting real-life in his head. One of his greatest life joys is being *that* uncle to his niece and nephew, the uncle who spoils them endlessly and brings them little souvenirs from every trip to a new place. It is in this endeavor that he's perfected the art of disarming children and discovered his talent for capturing them at their most joyous moments. Denisse Robledo - Production Lead & Creative Consultant (Chicago) Denisse is a Chicago-based creative professional with a background in photography, make-up artistry, interior design, marketing and toddler wranglery. A life-long passion for art and design led her to red light green light, where, combined with her neurotic sense of perfectionism and keen eye for color, she works as a retoucher, production lead and communications guru. On any given day, you might find her coordinating with clients, photoshopping boogers out of one of your pictures, or scheming of ways to move us up in Google's algorithm. She also consults clients on the placement of their photographic memories within their homes. Denisse holds a BA in Communications from DePaul University and studied Interior Design at Harrington College of Design. She lives with her husband, daughter and dog in Chicago, the city she adopted 12 years ago with a zeal matched only by her daughter's obsession with all-things-Elmo. When she's not busy at her job as a marketing and media professional or working on projects for red light green light photo studio, she moonlights as a crime-fighting, roller skating superhero and serves as a roller derby bench coach for the Windy City Rollers team, The Fury. |
